throwing-the-oMy name is Jeremy, and I enjoy listening to podcasts, audio books, radio shows, etc. I’m also a content producer, because we all are, and I really enjoy listening to longer lengthy shows, but shorter shows are better when I want something quick.

I run a tumblelog called Jerm Speaks for quite a while now and am currently studying Biomedical Engineering as an undergrad. Besides being on the internet, I enjoy scenery and biking, as well as bouldering and hiking.

So why exactly do I watch podcasts? Well, for one, it’s much better programming than anything you’ll ever find on television because it’s more selective than Cable, even though when I was growing up, my family never had cable because it’s was more of a luxury than of any good investment. I turned to podcasts more over last year even though I’ve been listening and watching few programs before last year. Also, instead of being some sort of Nimrod or mindless drone in front of a television, I can store podcasts on my iPod and listen on the go, as I’m working out or commuting. There are more countless reasons that I’ll take podcasts over television programming. Television today is more of an entertainment, in my opinion. I don’t ever get the news from a television anymore, unless someone has it on somewhere. I say that we’ll start to see less television programming, and more of these cable companies or broadcasters move on to the Internet.
